Associations and College Societies
Student groups, associations, and college societies that affiliate with VUSU may be eligible to access funding provided through the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
Subject to the VUSU Board's supervision and control, each membership section subcommittee may manage its own affairs but must provide regular reports to the Board as required. Subcommittees must also maintain and promptly provide meeting minutes and records for inspection by the Board. In exercising delegated powers, subcommittees must comply with any regulations or restrictions imposed by the Board from time to time.

To establish a student society and be eligible for affiliation:
A minimum of 10 currently enrolled VU students must express interest.
An Inaugural General Meeting (IGM) must be held.
Affiliation Process with VUSU
Hold an Inaugural General Meeting (IGM) before the Semester 2, Block 3 teaching period.
Elect executive members.
Set membership fees.
Adopt a society constitution.
Submit IGM or AGM minutes and all affiliation documents within 10 business days.
The VUSU Executive Officer and General Secretary will review the application.
