Run by Expressions Australia, Our Deaf Awareness Training (DAT) will includes topics such as:

• Deaf culture and community

• Language and communication strategies

• Appropriate terminology

• How to communicate in the workplace with people who are Deaf or hard of hearing

• Issues and barriers faced

• Working with interpreters

• Participants will then have the opportunity to learn some basic Auslan in a safe learning space from a Deaf trainer.

Classes will run at City Tower on Wednesday evenings on the following dates.
